Jaguar Classic to sponsor Official Awards Dinner for first 1000 Miglia Experience UAE

JAGUAR CLASSIC ANNOUNCED AS OFFICIAL AWARDS DINNER SPONSOR FOR INAUGURAL 1000 MIGLIA EXPERIENCE UAE

  • Jaguar Classic will sponsor the awards dinner for participants of the first 1000 Miglia Experience UAE in December
  • Jaguar C-type and D-type Continuation models will be displayed in the UAE for the first time at the exclusive event

Jaguar Classic will be the official sponsor of the awards dinner for the inaugural 1000 Miglia Experience UAE by Octanium Experiences LLC, the exclusive rights holder for 1000 Miglia events in the region.

The extraordinary gathering of the world’s finest classic automobiles coincides with the 50th Anniversary celebrations of the United Arab Emirates, which was officially formed on December 2nd, 1971.

Examples of the exclusive C-type and D-type Continuation models will be on display at the Awards Ceremony, which will be hosted at the Emirates Palace as the culmination of the four-day event.

With its Continuation models, the Jaguar Classic team brings Jaguar’s heritage to life using extensive research, engineering knowledge and modern technology, including advanced CAD modelling. They are then crafted by the highly skilled technicians and engineers at Jaguar Classic Works using the same in-period build methods and techniques to ensure the limited-run vehicles are authentic to the originals. Produced in Coventry, UK, the vehicles are eligible to participate in assorted Historic events.

Emma Styles, Head of Commercial said: “We will have a beautiful XK120 prepared by our expert technicians in action at the event while the exclusive C-type Continuation and D-type Continuation models will be displayed in the UAE for the first time at the awards dinner, so the inaugural 1000 Miglia Experience UAE will be a milestone event for Jaguar Classic.”

Life-long Jaguar enthusiast, David Gandy, will also compete in the event, driving his bespoke 1954 Jaguar XK120 in the Jubilee Class. The vehicle was subject to a painstaking 2,700-hour rebuild by Jaguar Classic to a unique specification, inspired by the XK120 Lightweight.

The race-ready model features an uprated original 3.4-litre six-cylinder engine with a fast-shifting four-speed manual gearbox, distinctive Solid Black paint, and Aged Saddle tan leather interior with made-to-measure seats.

The staging of the first 1000 Miglia Experience UAE represents a proud achievement for this young nation, which has accomplished global fame as a centre for both business excellence and exotic luxury travel. Packages for the 1000 Miglia Experience UAE are limited to just 100 participants from all over the world, with most entry packages sold in advance.
